Nov. 17--A man and two teenage boys were wounded in three shootings Monday in Chicago, police said.
A 16-year-old boy was shot in the left leg in the 1900 block of South St. Louis Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood around 5 p.m., police said.
The teen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. The teen was outside when a man in his 20s approached and began firing, police said.
A half-hour earlier, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the 7300 block of South Blackstone Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood, police said.
The teen was on the street when a car drove up and someone got out and began shooting, police said. The teen was hit in the lower leg and was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition.
The third shooting occurred around 11 p.m. when a 22-year-old man was wounded during an attempted robbery in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.
The man was sitting in a parked car in the 6000 block of South Mozart Street when someone walked up and announced a robbery. The man drove off and the robber fired shots, striking the driver in the left arm, Alfaro said.
The man drove to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Alfaro said.
