Dec. 04--A 19-year-old man and a female victim were shot to death in Gary Wednesday evening, authorities said.
The man, identified as Antwone Davis, was shot multiple times in the 1300 block of Clay Street in Gary, according to a statement from the Lake County Coroner's office.
Davis, of 600 block of Louisiana Street in Gary, was pronounced dead at 5:26 p.m., the statement said.
His death was ruled a homicide, and Gary Police Department is in the process of investigating the incident.
Shortly after that incident, a female victim died from gunshot wounds after investigators were dispatched around 5:55 p.m. to a McDonald's location, at 3639 169th Street in Hammond, Ind., according to another statement from the Lake County Coroner's office.
The victim, whose age and name were not immediately released, was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. after being shot somewhere on 15th Avenue in Gary, according to the statement.
Her death was also ruled a homicide. The incident is being investigated by the Lake County Sheriff's Office, Gary Police Department and Hammond Police Department.
