BRIEF: 2 residents, 2 firefighters injured in Albany Park fire

March 16--Two Chicago firefighters and two other people suffered injuries in an Albany Park fire Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

The fire was reported about 10:40 a.m. in the 3300 block of West Berteau Avenue. One resident was taken to a hospital in fair-to-serious condition and another one in good-to-fair condition.

One firefighter fell from a first-floor window and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to authorities. The other firefighter suffered "minor" burns and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital.

Several dogs and cats were rescued, and paramedics used pet masks to administer oxygen to the animals, authorities said. The Chicago Red Cross responded to help displaced residents.
