BRIEF: 2 men dead in murder-suicide identified

June 06--Officials Friday released the identity of a man who was killed earlier this week in a murder-suicide on the North Side.

Steven Delatorre, 45, died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Michael Bowers, 52, died of a gunshot wound to his head and his death was ruled a suicide, according to the office.

The two men died on the 1500 block of Chase Avenue in the Rogers Park neighborhood on June 3, according to police.

Police said the incident may have been a domestic-related murder-suicide.

Bowers was a former Southtown employee. The Southtown is owned by the Chicago Tribune.
