BRIEF: 2 injured in fire in West Rogers Park apartment

Feb. 03--A man and woman were injured in a fire in a West Rogers Park apartment building Tuesday, fire officials said.

A 70-year-old man was taken in serious-to-critical condition to St. Francis Hospital, said Chicago Fire Deputy District Chief Jeff Lyle.

A woman, whose age was not immediately available, was taken in good-to-fair condition to St. Francis Hospital, Lyle said.

The fire occurred at 4:40 p.m. in a two-story apartment building on the 6500 block of North California Avenue, Lyle said

The fire was contained to a single apartment in the building, he said.
