Nov. 13--The Chicago Tribune Media Group's Gary Post-Tribune reports: Violent Crimes Unit detectives went door-to-door in Glen Park for hours Wednesday, hoping to find witnesses with any nugget of information on the two teens shot to death in their neighborhood early Wednesday.
The boys were found near 40th Avenue and Pierce Street when Patrolman Jeffery Frencher arrived at the scene about 2:20 a.m., police reports state.
Javonte Bridges, 15, collapsed at the intersection while Raphael J. Jones Jr., 18, managed to run another half-block west on 40th Avenue, almost to the home he shared with his sister on Buchanan Street. Bridges lived one block south of Jones, also on Buchanan Street, police said.
