March 05--Two construction workers were in serious condition after being burned remodeling a home late Friday afternoon on the Northwest Side in the city's Norwood Park neighborhood.
According to Chicago Fire Media information, shortly after 5 p.m. a cutting tool and gas ignited. The ignition caused a flash fire and concussion blast that blew out a large picture window at the home located on the 7800 block of West Rascher Avenue.
Two workers suffered burns to their hands and face, and were taken in serious condition to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, officials said.
