BRIEF: 16th Street Theater announces 2015 season

Dec. 05--16th Street Theater in Berwyn has announced its 2015 season.

"The Art of Disappearing" (Jan. 22 -- Feb. 28) is a new play by Stephanie Walker about a woman who sees her estranged mother for the first time in two years. Ann Filmer will direct the production.

Then in "Graveyard of Empires" (March 26 -- May 2) by Elaine Romero, a software engineer can't forget his checkered past -- which includes creating software for unmanned military drones. Kevin Christopher Fox will direct this world-premiere drama.

Aline Lathrop's "Merchild" (Sept. 10 -- Oct. 18) is about Adam, a transgender child who finds solace in a favorite mermaid fairytale. Ann Filmer will stage the premiere.

Additionally there are two programs for 100 Club subscribers:

"Letters from Dad" (March 11), a piece made up of community members' letters to their fathers, and "Mariposa Nocturna: A Puppet Triptych" created by Stephanie Diaz (Oct. 22 -- Nov. 1).

16th Street Theater is located at 6420 16th St. in Berwyn.
