Nov. 16--The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival has announced the lineup for its 15th annual Sketchfest featuring 186 shows with 165 groups over the course of 8 days.
Danny Pudi, of NBC's "Community," returns to the festival with his Los Angeles-based group Siblings of Doctors. Also from LA is Heavy Weight featuring TJ Miller of HBO's "Silicon Valley" and Nick Vatterott. Other headliners include New York groups Pop Roulette, Elephant Larry, and FUCT, along with Stupid Time Machine from New Orleans and Last Call Cleveland.
Groups from Los Angeles including Super Punk, Troupe, Party Central USA, Weaseliscious and Dolphins of Damnation, along with Texas-based Backpack Picnic, Toronto's Uncalled For and New York's Team Submarine will return to the festival for reunion performances.
Locals performing include The Defiant Thomas Brothers, The Cupid Players, Rabbit Rabbit, The Tim and Micah Project and Kerpatty.
A lineup celebrating diversity is featured in this year's fest with groups Stir Friday Night, Spic and Tan, GayCo, Your Dark Embrace, Patti Vasquez and Sprit Animal.
Sketchfest runs Jan. 7 -- 17 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. Tickets go on sale Dec. 1 at www.ChicagoSketchfest.com.
