BRIEF: 15-year-old dies 2 weeks after Englewood shooting

May 10--A 15-year-old boy shot in the Englewood neighborhood late last month has died, authorities said Monday.

The boy, identified as Ladarrius Jackson, was shot in the 6800 block of South Sangamon Street and was pronounced dead at 4:05 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Jackson lived in the 6900 block of South Elizabeth Street, about five blocks from where he was shot, according to the office.

The boy was shot about 8 p.m. April 29, according to police.

He was on Sangamon when someone approached him on foot and began firing, police said. The teen suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and was taken to Christ Medical Center, police said.

Police had no updated information on the killing Monday, and no arrests have been made in the shooting.
