April 14--Officials said 11 people were injured, including six children, in a crash in the West Woodlawn neighborhood Thursday.
The crash happened at 3:42 p.m. at the intersection of Marquette Road and Cottage Grove Avenue, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Cmdr. Frank Velez.
The crash triggered a Emergency Medical Services Plan 1 response which sent multiple ambulances to the scene.
Of the adults two were taken to Mercy Hospital and three were taken to the University of Chicago Hospital, said Velez.
The six children were taken to Comer Children's Hospital. All of the injuries were minor, said Velez.
