April 17--A 25-year-old woman was among four people who were wounded Sunday in shootings on the Far South, Northwest and South sides, police said.
The latest shooting happened about 3:55 p.m. in the 100 block of East 120th Place in the city's West Pullman neighborhood, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
A 25-year-old woman said she heard shots and soon after felt pain in her leg. Intially, the woman refused treatment, but later went to Roseland Community Hospital where she was listed in good condition.
About 2:53 p.m., another person was wounded in the 4600 block of West Central Park Avenue in the city's Albany Park neighborhood, said Tannehill.
A 20-year-old man suffered a wound to the lower back, and took himself the 17th District police station where an ambulance was called. He was then taken in serious condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Tannehill said.
About 2:30 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side, Tannehill said.
That shooting happened in the 6400 block of South Eberhart Avenue, she said. The man suffered a wound to the left foot, and was taken in good condition to the University of Chicago medical center.
Earlier Sunday, an 18-year-old man was shot in the city's Washington Park neighborhood.
That shooting happened about 11 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
The victim, who was being uncooperative with police, suffered a wound to the hand and shoulder. He was taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital, Sedevic said.
No one was in custody and police were investigating.
