BRIEF: 1 stabbed, 2 beaten in weekend attack in Peterson Park neighborhood

Dec. 29--A 30-year-old man was stabbed, another man beaten with a golf club and a third victim was struck with a blunt object in an argument over a woman Saturday morning on the Northwest Side, Chicago police said.

Police said the argument started shortly before 3 a.m. in the 5700 block of North California Avenue. A man, 30, was stabbed multiple times and was initially taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center in critical condition. He was later taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, said police.

A 27-year-old man was struck with an unknown blunt object in that same attack and taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

A third victim, 24, was beaten with a golf club and also taken to Our Lady of Resurrection, where he was in good condition.

As of Sunday night, no one had been charged in the attack.
