4 wounded in separate Englewood, Rogers Park neighborhood shootings

Oct. 27--Three people were wounded in shootings in Englewood Monday night and another person was shot in Rogers Park early Tuesday, according to police.

A 21-year-old man was shot about 6:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of West 62nd Street in the West Englewood neighborhood, according to Officer Nicole Trainor, a police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in the leg and buttocks and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Trainor said. The man was on the street when someone on a bicycle approached and shot him, police said.

About an hour later, a 19-year-old man was shot in the 1000 block of West 70th Street. He was walking when someone in a group of three men fired a shot toward him, hitting him in the hand. He was driven by a friend to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was listed as stable, police said.

About 9:20 p.m., someone shot a 24-year-old woman in the leg in the 6400 block of South Honore Street. She walked into Holy Cross Hospital and was stable, police said. She told investigators she heard shots and felt pain.

Someone shot a 20-year-old man in the hand in the 6700 block of North Ridge Road about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, police said. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston in good condition. It's not clear how he was shot.

No one was in custody for any of the shootings.
