BRIEF: 1 shot in Waukegan

Aug. 11--A person was shot in Waukegan about 10 p.m. Monday, police confirmed.

The incident occurred in front of an apartment building in the 2000 block of Washington Street, according to Waukegan police. The person was shot in the leg. Police do not consider the injuries life-threatening.

No one is in custody. No further information was available about the person's age, gender or the circumstances of the shooting.
