Jan. 01--A Chicago police officer suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon in a fire in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, and firefighters rescued two people.
The fire started about 1:45 p.m. in a 2 1/2-story frame house at 5329 S. Paulina Ave., according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Officials said two people were rescued from the building's second floor, and a police officer suffered minor injuries.
None of the building's residents was injured.
