March 17--Ten people were displaced from their Golden Gate neighborhood home Tuesday morning after a porch collapsed, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

One person was injured in the collapse and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in fair-to-serious condition, Fire Department Chief Joseph Roccasalva said.

It happened about 8:20 a.m. in the 13200 block of Forrestville Avenue, according to police. Inspectors from the Buildings Department were at the scene, police and fire officials said.
