BRIEF: 1 hurt in South Shore fire

March 06--A person was hurt after a fire broke out at a building early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said.

The blaze started around 3:45 a.m. at a four-story building in the 6900 block of South Cornell Avenue, according to the Chicago Fire Department media officials.

One person, whose age and gender were not immediately available, was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center. The person's condition stabilized, officials said.

The fire was struck out at 4:15 a.m., officials said.

No additional information was immediately available.
