Feb. 17--A 72-year-old woman was hospitalized early Wednesday after a small fire in a senior citizens high-rise in Edgewater, officials said.
A small cooking fire broke out at 1:15 a.m. in a 5th-floor apartment in the building in the 5800 block of North Broadway.
The woman was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital in good condition with smoke inhalation.
All residents were able to return to their apartments, officials said.
