Sept. 29--One person was hospitalized Monday after a CTA bus was involved in an accident, officials said.
The crash happened at 5:20 p.m. near the intersection of Lumber and Halsted avenues in the Lower West Side community area, according to the Chicago Fire Department and CTA officials.
The crash involved the No. 8 Halsted bus that was traveling northbound, according to the CTA. Another vehicle veered into the bus lane, causing the accident, according to a CTA spokeswoman.
According to Chicago Fire Department officials, several people refused treatment, but one person was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital.
No other details were immediately available.
