The Bridlington Free Press has joined a campaign to pioneer drug awareness among children. As part of the paper's Building A Better Brid campaign, it has produced more than 5,000 information cards for local schoolchildren outlining the risks and symptoms of drug-taking. Free Press editor Nick Procter says: "If these cards stop just one person dabbling in drugs then the project will be a success because drugs can ruin lives." The idea came from Barry Wass, a member of the local Rotary Club. (Via bridlingtontoday.co.uk)
