Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor looks unrecognisable in her first fashion shoot

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor looks completely different as she models for her first fashion campaign.

Phoebe was a world away from her character Daphne Bridgerton in the Netflix period drama series, as the face of British fashion brand Self-Portrait's latest campaign.

The London fashion house unveiled its Autumn Winter 2021 collection featuring the Bridgerton starlet.

The Manchester actress, the eldest daughter of Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor who plays Sally Metcalfe, looks relaxed as she models the latest collection.

She describes the partnership with Self Portrait, founded by designer Han Chong, as a ‘love affair’, stating: "I first spotted one of his dresses on a photoshoot and it was an instant love affair."

Shot in east London, the images portray a snapshot of a day at home with 25-year-old Phoebe, who plays the lead role in the drama set in 19th century Britain, and she looks incredible.

In one shot she's wearing a ruched burnt orange puff sleeve top with a square neckline teamed with a colour clash of burgundy trousers.

In another she lounges in a doorway with her legs resting against the frame, wearing a blue buttoned dress.

And in a third edgy shot Phoebe is seated barefoot on a wooden floor next to an overturned chair, wearing an angelic white embellished dress.

Han, Self-Portrait founder and creative director, said: “As I was designing this latest collection, I was thinking a lot about the British sensibility and that effortless approach to British style, which I am so often inspired by.

"I felt we needed to work with someone to bring this to life rather than present the collection in a traditional show format and having captured the hearts and imaginations of so many people over the last few months.

"I knew Phoebe would be the perfect woman.

"The moment I met her, I loved how down-to-earth she was whilst still having this incredible spirit and energy that perfectly emulates the attitude and values of the Self-Portrait brand.

"She is warm, independent, sensitive, expressive and completely captivating.

"It’s been a real joy getting to know and work with Phoebe and I’m incredibly excited to have her on this journey with us.”

Phoebe said: "I was delighted and honoured that Han chose me to work with him and such a talented team on his latest collection.

"I first spotted one of his dresses on a photoshoot and it was an instant love affair. Han's collections for Self-Portrait have always been an inspiration, I love the strong structures he creates from such delicate and stunning fabrics and this collection is a testament to his incredible work.

"I’m so proud to be a part of this new project and hope to have a chance to wear the pieces when life goes back to normal again!”

Phoebe's first role at the age of 14 was as Siobhan Mailey in the fifth series of BBC One's Rochdale-based school drama Waterloo Road.
