Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor 'skipped past sex scenes' when watching with Corrie star mum

Phoebe Dynevor has revealed that she skipped past her sex scenes in period drama Bridgerton to avoid any awkwardness with her mum Sally.

The 25-year-old actress said that she sat down with her mum Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Webster Coronation Street, to watch her new Netflix show.

It became a bit of a struggle for the mum and daughter to watch the raunchy romps together, so Phoebe decided that it would be best to fast forward those parts of the hit show.

Phoebe plays a socialite who is highly sought after during the aristocracy's marriage season in the period drama and is involved in many of the hottest scenes in the show.

She said that when watching with her mum, she made sure she had full control of the remote so that she could fast forward the raunchiest moments.

Speaking to BBC Radio 2, Phoebe said: "I had to sit there and fast forward on high alert with the remote control. We managed it just about."

Bridgerton has been watched by more than 70 million households across the globe and it has propelled Phoebe to superstardom.

The sex scenes have also proved problematic for Phoebe's co-star Rege-Jean Page who plays Duke Simon Bassethas.

He has revealed that his family were mortified by his on-screen romps.

Rege-Jean lives in the United States and he told chat show host Jimmy Fallon that not everyone in the family got the WhatsApp message to warn them of the explicit content in the drama.

He said: "We missed one of my cousins. She sent me a message that was like, 'I had to make so many tactical cups of tea during the show.'

"She said, 'I came back, and you were still going, so I had to go back and put the kettle back on'."

He added: "So my family are very stimulated and caffeinated at this point, which sounds like a deadly combination."

While the sex scenes have grabbed the most headlines, Phoebe said that they were carefully choreographed, like they would do a stunt, and made so those involved felt safe and happy.

Speaking to Grazia Magazine : "My first-ever scene was in episode six, where Simon is going down on Daphne.

“And it was so great, because it felt safe and fun: you choreograph it like a stunt, or a dance. It’s crazy to me that that hasn’t been there in the past."
