The New York Times described the novel where "jealousy and obsession, love and late capitalism, sex and the internet all come whirling together in a wry and bracing tale of class and privilege," while The Guardian said: "The young Irish writer’s first novel is dry and sharp in its observation of twentysomething expat lives."

Dublin author Dolan will also write the series and she's an executive producer on the project too.

Black Bear Pictures optioned the rights to the book prior to its June 2020 release in the U.S.

As for Dynevor's immediate future, she will star in Sky's original film The Colour Room.
