Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor's romance with Pete Davidson 'is now serious'

The Bridgerton effect is rubbing off on one of its main stars as Phoebe Dynevor and Pete Davidson have seen their romance take off.

The 26-year-old actress, who has become a huge star on the back of playing Daphne Bridgerton in the record breaking Netflix period drama series, reportedly started dating Saturday Night Live comedian Pete, 27, last month.

The pair alerted their fans about a possible romance when they were pictured together in Manchester, with a fan also posting a selfie of them on her Facebook page after visiting Altrincham market.

Now, People has reported that the relationship is reaching 'serious' level as they are "really into each other."

A source told the US publication that "Pete is telling friends he's serious about her."

Before being seen in Manchester, Phoebe had taken a trip to New York, where Pete lives and films SNL.

Last week, Pete fuelled the flames of romance when he had a Zoom Q&A with students at Marquette University.

He was asked who is his celebrity crush, to which he replied: "I'm with my celebrity crush."

Recently, eagle-eyed fans had spotted that the pair had both been wearing necklaces with their initials "PD" on it during recent interviews they have done.

The Mirror has contacted Phoebe's representatives for comment.

Phoebe had previously been linked to her Bridgerton co-star, Rege-Jean Page but she denied there was any romance between them when speaking to You magazine in February.

The actress said: "I'd love to say there was really something between us. But no, it has always been strictly professional.

"People really root for us. We have to say we're actors, we're doing a job. There is something to be said for not spoiling the magic … but at a certain point you have to say no."

Rege-Jean also poured cold water on romance rumours when speaking to Access Hollywood in January.

He said: "I think everything you need to know is on camera. All the sparks that flew came off the beautiful scripts we were handed.

"So I think that the sparky words, scripts and material are more than enough."
