Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor has revealed what it was like watching show with Corrie star mum

Phoebe Dynevor has revealed what it was like watching her new show Bridgerton with her Coronation Street star mum.

The 25-year-old is one of the stand out stars from the Netflix period drama in which she plays Daphne Bridgerton.

And despite Phoebe probably having to watch her mum Sally Dynevor in all kinds of situations over the years as Sally Webster/Metcalfe in the ITV soap, watching Bridgerton was not quite as straight forward.

"I had to sit there and fast forward on high alert with the remote control. We managed it just about," Phoebe told BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright.

Despite avoiding the raunchy scenes, Sally and the rest of the family are excited for the actress as she received worldwide recognition.

"She is very proud and excited," Phoebe said of her mum. "I watched the show with the whole family, even the grandparents managed to watch it."

The raunchy Netflix drama has been watched by tens of millions across the world since its release on Christmas Day.

The scandalous hit series follows the Bridgerton family including Daphne as a debutante in Regency London and is based on Julia Quinn's bestselling romance novels.

Fans who have already binge watched the series are eagerly awaiting news of a second season and while there is no official confirmation for another, the overwhelming response to the first may leave the creators with no alternaitve.

And there has also been talk of another seven series as Quinn's romance series is made up of eight books.
