Bridgerton-inspired Scottish castle owners looking to home swap for post-lockdown break

Hit show Bridgerton has been garnering a lot of attention ever since it landed on Netflix.

Following the glamorous lives of the Bridgerton family, viewers have become entranced by the decadent lifestyles and glamorous locations portrayed in the show.

Now, accommodation website Love Home Swap are offering fans the chance to live like the Bridgertons with a post lockdown stay in an incredible Scottish castle.

Dating back to the 16th Century, it is believed to have been built as a hunting lodge for the Kings of Scotland.

Linked with Rob Roy, it was said that he made a famous escape from the castle when a party of Redcoats arrived to arrest him.

One of the two sisters who resided in the castle at the time engaged the officers in talk while the other helped Rob Roy make his escape.

Eventually, it was destroyed in burned again after the Jacobite rising in 1745 and was recorded as being "in ruins" in 1815.

Now fully restored to its previous glory, with stunning period features, it is set within 80 acres of parkland and lies close to the Trossachs, a designated National Scenic Area, are renowned for their beautiful lochs, forests, hills and glens where you'll find an incredible array of wildlife including Golden eagles, peregrine falcons, red deer and red squirrels.
