Bridgerton has been forced to halt production, again.
The Netflix hit has shut down the set of the show amid the filming of season two after a cast or crew member tested positive for Covid-19.
It is the second time in a week that production, which is taking place in the UK, has had to stop due to a Coronavirus and this time producers Shondaland have not decided when filming will resume, Deadline report.
Netflix has not shared if it is a cast or crew member who tested positive this time but told that the infected individual is now isolating.
The Mirror has contacted Netflix for further comment.
The latest shut down on the set of the Regency-era drama follows on from filming being briefly halted due to a member of the production team testing positive for Covid-19, earlier this week.
The Sun reported that filming was halted after a member of Bridgerton’s production tested positive for Covid-19 which led to "crisis meetings".
A source told The Sun: "It’s also a headache for producers because removing cast or crew and putting them into isolation means they have to be replaced at short notice, and that’s not always possible.
"Netflix have gone to great lengths to ensure all the relevant measures are in place on Bridgerton, but this just goes to show how difficult it is for such a large set to be completely Covid-secure."
Production was back up and running yesterday after the brief pause to follow the show's health and safety protocols before the second positive test.
Bridgerton's first season received three nominations at the 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards.
The series is nominated for Best Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for Julie Anne Robinson, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama series for actor Rege-Jean Page for his turn as Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings.
Page has already been confirmed to not be returning for the second run despite on-screen wife Phoebe Dynevor returning as Daphne Bridgerton.
The new series will be fronted instead by a returning Jonathan Bailey as Daphne’s brother Anthony, Viscount Bridgerton.
Season two will be welcoming back the Bridgerton brood and their navigation through London's high society after the first series - based on Julia Quinn's novels of the same name - were an instant hit on the streaming service.
Produced by Shonda Rhimes’ company, Shondaland, the show has drawn attention for sex-filled scenes and scandalous storylines as well as the genetically-blessed cast - who will be returning for the next season.
The series follows the trials and tribulations of the Bridgerton and Featherington clans in London as they deal with the ups and downs of the high society marriage market.
