Bridge Valley Road will be closed to all traffic for most of the day on Sunday (February 23).
The closure is to allow for vegetation to be removed from beneath the cliff.
It will prepare the area ahead of further work to remove accumulated debris from the rock trap next to the highway.
The entire length of Bridge Valley Road will be closed to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists during this time from 8am to 4pm.

The bus lane on the Portway will terminate slightly early, where it meets the slip road of Bridge Valley.
The pedestrian pathway down from Clifton to the Bridge Valley Road junction will also be closed.
