Bridge of Allan used as filming location for hit TV series Outlander

Shooting for hit TV series Outlander took place in Bridge of Allan earlier this week.

The time-travelling epic is believed to have been filmed on Monday night.

Sunnylaw Road was closed by Stirling Council to allow for production to take place.

The council made the temporary closure order, under Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, closing the street from the junction of Ferniebank Brae to the junction of Abercromby Drive.

The route was off limits between the hours of 8am Monday until and 2am Tuesday to facilitate the shoot.
