Bridge of Allan dairy workers test positive for Covid

Contact tracing is taking place after staff at Graham’s the Family Dairy in Bridge of Allan tested positive for Covid-19.

The business and health authorities have not disclosed how many employees have tested positive.

NHS Forth Valley confirmed yesterday (Thursday) that they were now working with Graham’s to contain the outbreak and trace any other potential contacts.

Dairy bosses meanwhile said strict hygiene and cleaning regimes continue to be in place.

A spokesperson for NHS Forth Valley said: “NHS Forth Valley’s Test and Protect team is currently carrying out Covid-19 contact tracing after a number of staff working at Graham’s Family Dairy in Bridge of Allan have tested positive for coronavirus.

“Those affected are self-isolating in line with national guidance and further testing is being carried out as a precautionary measure. To respect and maintain patient confidentiality no further details will be given.

“All appropriate action is being taken by our Public Health Team who are working closely with the local management team to provide advice and support.”

A spokesperson from Graham’s The Family Dairy said: “Through contact tracing a number of our employees at our Bridge of Allan site have tested positive for coronavirus and those affected are self-isolating in line with national guidance.

“We are working with NHS Forth Valley Test and Protect team to carry out further testing as a precautionary measure.

“As a dairy business we inherently have stringent hygiene and cleaning regimes in place and introduced further safety measures when the virus was first reported nationally earlier in the year. We receive frequent environmental, and health and safety inspections across all our sites, which have consistently confirmed that we are undertaking all necessary precautions.

“We will continue to work closely with NHS Forth Valley to ensure the health and safety of all the people that work for our family business.”
