Bridezilla slammed for asking maid of honour to dye hair before wedding

There are many things a bride may require for her wedding day.

But when it comes to fulfilling her requests, a line has to be drawn somewhere.

A bridesmaid or maid of honour can only do so much and there are certain things they simply shouldn't have to put up with.

For example, being asked to change any part of their appearance ahead of the big day.

We've heard before how one bride attempted to make her wedding party change their eye colour for the ceremony, but now another bride-to-be has taken issue with her pal's hair colour.

The bride, known only as Cassidy, took to Reddit to reveal that she had asked a big favour of her maid of honour.

Posting in the Am I The A**hole forum, she admitted that she'd asked her friend to dye her hair.

She said: "My maid of honour and I both have blonde hair.

"My hair is a darker blonde, whereas hers was dyed bright bleach blonde at the time of my asking."

The rest of the bridal party all had darker hair and Cassidy was really hoping to stand out from the crowd at her wedding.

So she asked the other woman to alter her hair colour so she could be "the lightest in the wedding party".

She explained: "I only asked her this because she often dyes her hair different colours, including dark brunette once."

According to the bride, her maid of honour accepted the request and didn't seem too bothered.

But the best man overheard the exchange between them and was appalled.

He branded it a "really s***ty" thing to ask, so the bride turned to the internet to find out if he was right.

And the people of Reddit were quick to tell her that he was and brand her a "bridezilla".

One person commented: "Bridezilla much? She is super nice for putting up with that request. You shouldn't ask people to change their appearance so you are the fairest one of all."

Another replied: "You're so entrenched in bridezilla land that you need to realise you should NOT even think about asking someone else to change their hair colour for just one day where you want to make it all about you."

"You don't need the lightest hair at the wedding. That's controlling." added a third.
