A bride has been slammed by her friends after they discovered she asked the wedding photographer to edit the appearance of one of her bridesmaids in her official photos.
The bride explains that after the big day she presented each of her bridesmaids with a group picture of them all together to remember the special occasion.
However, she also had a personal album made up and said the dresses she had chosen for her bridesmaids created a "very unflattering silhouette" on one of her friends, who she refers to as Heather.
She had Heather's appearance altered but says she "cannot emphasise enough" that it was only done for her own personal photos from the day.
Recently three of her friends visited for dinner and after a few drinks they all started looking through the full collection of images from her wedding day.
When one of her friend's told Heather she looked great in the photos, she noticed she had been edited and the bride's photos were different to the ones they had been given.
"Heather got really offended and asked me what I did to the photos," she said. "I got mad at my other friend because she had no reason to point out that she thought Heather 'looked good'.
"I told Heather that I had the photos edited for my personal album, and she got angry. We ended up getting into a shouting match, which I thought was totally unnecessary."
She says she told Heather to be "more secure" and argued it was her other friend who had shamed her by pointing out that she looked different.
Heather posted about it on social media and the bride has said all of her friends have blasted her for altering the pictures.
Asking if she had been in the wrong on Reddit, one said: "You're just salty and embarrassed you got caught. Don't try to deflect to the friend who noticed, there wouldn't have been anything to draw attention to if the photos hadn't been edited."
Another wrote: "You seem to think that the fact that you don’t want to be reminded of what your 'friend' actually looks like in your personal album makes it better. It does not."
However, others argued there was no problem as she had only done it for her personal collection and they would also want their friends to alter their image if photos were unflattering.
