Bride wows in €3 second hand wedding dress as people compare her to Meghan Markle

A stunning bride left viewers gobsmacked as she revealed how she managed to purchase her gorgeous gown for just under €3.

The dress was so elegant and in immaculate condition that some compared the glowing bride to Meghan Markle on her wedding day.

Rachel Connealy took to TikTok to share how she put together her incredible wedding ensemble on a budget.

She said: “I thrifted this silk dress right after we got engaged and still wore it for the ceremony.

“My ceremony dress from Goodwill for $3 (€2.65).”

However, the savings didn’t stop there as Rachel gave further inside into her thrifting skills in another video.

The TikTok star said she also found her reception dress, a smaller, frilly outfit for a bargain, costing her just $5 or €4.42.

Fans were quick to praise the bargain hunter as they commented on how beautiful Rachel looked on her big day.

“The thrifting gods really have huh,” one said.

Another commented: “Oh I’m jealous, it looks stunning.”

A third added: “You remind me of gorgeous Meghan Markle here. Congratulations.”

Rachel managed to achieve the Meghan Markle look for a fraction of what the Duchess of Sussex spent on her gown, which cost an eye-watering €130,000.

However, Rachel was not the only one to find a hidden treasure while searching through charity shops.

Laura Trower got a sweet surprise after falling in love with a wedding outfit that fit her “like a glove”.

The bride to be was left stunned after discovering a heartfelt note attached to the gown.

The previous owner had attached a note asking to see pictures of the new owners dress.

Speaking to Fabulous about finding the dream dress, she explained: "I saw it and loved it, but thought there was no way I would fit into it. However, it actually fit perfectly - it was crazy."

"It needed 2cm taken off the hem, but the rest of it fit like a glove. It was the first red dress I had tried on.

"We were at the till about to buy it, and the man was putting it in the box, and we noticed the note at that point.

"It had the previous owner's name and her phone number and said: 'Would really love to see of photos of the next owner's wedding.'"
