Bride unable to have kids is gifted a pregnancy test and dummies at wedding

Never assume that just because someone is married, you'll soon be hearing the patter of tiny feet.

Many people make the decision to not start a family. Many people, for a number of reasons, have this decision made for them.

With this in mind, it's best to err on the side of caution and NOT get a newlywed anything REMOTELY baby-related by way of a wedding gift.

Yet, mind-blowingly, this is what one wedding guest saw fit to gift a bride, buying her a pregnancy test, dummies, and onesies as a wedding present.

Deluded bride expects florist to work for free for 'exposure' - and gets shut down

This is bad enough in itself. However, the present hits an even more inappropriate note as the bride revealed "Even if I wanted children (which I don't) I am infertile and a gift like that is extremely insensitive."

Having posted about the incident in a Facebook group, the bride found other members defending the guest, as they suggested he or she might not have known she had fertility issues.

Arguably, this misses the point.

However, the bride then added: "Yes these people know I'm infertile and they know I don't want to have kids.

"They keep telling me over and over again I'll change my mind or that I'm being selfish and immature for not having kids. I have repeatedly asked them not to bring it up."

Which makes it all the more ill-judged.

Worryingly, this bride is by no means alone in receiving an inappropriate gift like this.

Another added: "Wow that's f******g terrible. I remember for our shower, my husband's aunt got us three gifts: Margarita glasses to celebrate that day, lingerie for the honeymoon and a onesie 'for later'. We were traumatised."
