Bride-to-be shows off engagement ring but gets ripped into for her 'rotten' nails

After her partner popped the question, one woman decided to show off her sparkler on social media - as you do.

The woman was so excited about her upcoming wedding, she just couldn't wait to tell everyone about it.

But instead of receiving praise for the photo of her rock, people couldn't help but notice something a little odd about her snap.

And as a result, her post garnered a lot of attention, however no one was talking about her ring - all eyes were instead on her nails.

Her nails faced harsh criticism (Facebook)

Sharing the picture in a ring shaming Facebook group, the woman revealed she was getting married in three weeks, reports Sun Online.

She added: "Don't mind the nails, I need a fill!"

Despite telling people to ignore her nails, many women were drawn to them and couldn't get over the state one particular finger was in.

Thousands of comments were quickly posted, with people ripping into her manicure.

People did not hold back (Facebook)
They told her to dump her nail technician - and her fiancé (Facebook)

One person said: "You need a fill and a new nail tech, that ring finger nail looks rotten."

Another posted: "I can't NOT mind the nails."

A third harshly wrote: "Your nail tech did you wrong and so did your man with that ring."

"Throw the nail tech, the ring and the man away who thought this thing was ok and start fresh! This whole picture is just bad," added a fourth user.

A similar situation occurred recently, when a woman shared a picture of her which was made from a shell.

But instead of offering their congratulations, people were distracted by her fake nails.

The woman's manicure caused an outcry thanks to what looks like several lays of pink gel polish, making them stand out from the nail bed.

One wrote: "The person has tons of pictures to show off her wealth, yet she couldn't get to a decent manicurist."

Another added: "Them nails probably got doo doo underneath."

A third commented: "I can't get past the nails to shame the ring."
