Bride-to-be's engagement ring compared to 'genital wart' in cruel online taunt

A bride-to-be's engagement ring was cruelly mocked by social media users who compared it to a 'genital wart'.

The woman, who has not been named, posted an image of the ring on a Facebook page called "That's it, I'm ring shaming" and asked for feedback on what people thought.

She wrote: "This is my great-grandmother's ring and I can't think of anything wrong with it, but this group entertains the s**t out of me so I want to hear what you'd say about it."

While the women seemed open to criticism, she may not have seen some of the more imaginative comparisons coming.

One Facebook user wrote: "If a genital wart became a ring, that would be the ring".

While another said it looked like a "bedazzled boothole" - a similar comparison made by another who said it looked like a "butt hole".

One wrote: "I'm sure your grandmother is a wonderful woman, however your great grandfather BETTER ANSWER FOR THIS MF CRIME.

"It looks like a bedazzled bootyhole and those prongs (around the world's saddest diamond flakes, btw definitely aren't helping the aesthetic."

Other's thought outside the box, with one comparing it a the iconic Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.

Many agreed it also resembled something you might find at the bottom of a sewing kit, with one woman joking: "Cool, a ring made from a spare button."
