Weddings are expensive, really expensive.
And for lots of us scrimping, saving, bartering and begging can be a requirement for ensuring the dream day.
Having said that, there are some out there who clearly cross the line when it comes to negotiating a good price!
And here's one such example.
As reported in the Mirror a screenshot of an incredible conversation between a bride and her prospective florist, Mimi, has emerged.

It starts off friendly enough. The bride sends an idea over and asks for a quote, Mimi responds...and then it all goes steadily downhill from there.
Mimi sends over an estimate of $18 (£13) per foot for the table garlands.
When questioned over the price (the bride moans "that's gonna be a lot"), Mimi explains that she makes the table pieces by hand, and the bride has chosen a lot of flowers to incorporate.
For 8 foot handmade garlands, it would take her three and a half hours to complete and for all 18 tables the bride had requested – that equals 80 hours in total.
As a cost-cutting measure, Mimi does offer to look at less expensive blooms or just less decoration in general.
Yet here's where things really go south. Piqued, the bride says: "Well I kinda was just hoping you could buy the flowers at your wholesale cost and just make them if you don't mind."
So, basically not charge for the actual labour.

She explains: "I can't afford that. I'm already spending 10 grand on my wedding, flowers is the last thing I need [sic]."
By way of a conciliatory measure she adds: "You would get nice pictures of your work...would be helping you if anything because that pricing is crazy."
Ahh, as many a social media influencer should note, "exposure" does not pay the bills. It's not the same as a pay check. It doesn't even necessarily lead to additional business.
Fortunately, Mimi stood her ground and told her "I do not work for free ma'am."
Which, as responses go is a lot more polite than the one we'd send.
