Bride shares her strict wedding 'non-negotiables' that might upset her family and pals

Soon-to-be brides want their wedding day to be just perfect and that can mean putting their foot down when it comes their particular choices. One bride-to-be has gone viral online after sharing the list of ways she is putting her foot down for her own big day.

A TikTok user named @karaaaashley shared a look at her wedding "non-negotiables" which see her shying away from some wedding day traditions and opting for more a more personal and unique touch on the special occasion. In her video, the Australian bride openly admits that she knows some of her choices will "p*ss a few people off" but explains that she has to do it.

The first non-negotiable for Kara is no children under the age of 16 present at the wedding ceremony or reception.

"A wedding is not the place for them," she explains. "There is loud music, they don’t eat the food, they don’t drink the alcohol, they don’t party."

Her second non-negotiable was no dessert included as a course for the food.

"I am not paying for a third course when I have already paid $400 for a wedding cake, I don’t care about keeping the top tier of my wedding cake, you guys can just eat it all," she said.

Kara's other items on the list included keeping wedding speeches short and sweet and enjoying a coffee with her husband-to-be on the morning of the big day.

Kara's video has provoked a mixed bag of responses, with some loving her ideas but others not so sure.

"Freaking brilliant," said one, while others judged Ms Hansen for her choices, saying her "husband has his hands full."

"Yes to no children," said one user.

"Kids at the ceremony for photos then they gotta go," agreed another.

One user advised that Kara carefully consider keeping children away from the wedding, saying: "I had no children at my wedding five years ago and it is one of the biggest regrets of my life."

While someone else added: "Also I spent the night before the wedding and had breakfast with hubby it was special."
