Bride's skimpy BODYSUIT wedding dress described as both 'tacky' and 'gorgeous'

A bride has been shamed online for wearing a bodysuit to her wedding.

The wife-to-be, thought to be from the US, was filmed in a strapless swimsuit-style outfit ahead of her beach wedding.

The video was reportedly shared by an acquaintance from Jacksonville, Florida, in a wedding-shaming group, whose members slammed her attire as tasteless.

However, some people rallied to the bride's defence, arguing that she had a great body and was entitled to flaunt it.

The Daily Mail reports that a woman saw the bride's clip of her final fitting and shared it in the 'That's it, I'm wedding shaming (non ban-happy edition)' Facebook group.

She posted in the group: "This is her finished wedding dress. She had a beach wedding but that romper is a little too short."

In the video, the bride can be seen standing on a platform in a showroom, displaying the outfit.

The bodysuit is cut off at the top of her thighs, with a plunging neckline and a removable skirt covering the back of her legs.

It resembles an ornate white wedding dress, with sparkling embroidery.

Social media users were divided over the outfit.

One wrote: "It would be so much cuter if it was a little bit longer.

"She's got a great body but it looks like a swimsuit/lingerie piece that has an out of place ruffle in the back... it would look better without the butt flaps."

Critics described the dress as 'tacky' and warned that her family would have a 'hissy fit' when they saw it.

However, many backed the woman, with one writing: "Honestly the piece itself is gorgeous. She seems thrilled and it fits her beautifully.

"If it was red/blue/gold and she had a sword/whip/shield, we'd call her a superhero."

Another said: "Psh. Her body is amazing. I think she looks great but I just think it looks really rigid and uncomfortable."
