Bride on a budget wows in stunning wedding outfit for just €7 including bouquet

A wedding can be an extremely expensive day out for many couples as they spend thousands on the perfect dress, suit, ring, cake and venue.

However, for one happy couple, they decided they didn't need to spend a fortune to create their dream wedding.

Taking to Twitter, stunning bride Nell Frizzle, author of The Panic Years and Square One, wowed followers after sharing her incredible wedding outfit.

The bride took an alternative approach to create her wedding look, having spent just €4.70 on fabric to create her own dress, buying a pair of elegant shoes for just €1.18 at a car boot sale, making a veil from offcuts costing €1.18 and buying a headband to match from a charity shop.

Instead of paying a makeup artist to create her wedding look, the bride opted to borrow some make up, and the pair even chose second-hand rings for their special day.

Going the extra mile, the glamourise bride even dried flowers from a previous event to create her bouquet.

Taking to Twitter, she said: "Well, I spent £4 on fabric, sewed a dress, dried all the flowers from my book launch, bought a pair of shoes for £1 from a car boot sale, made a veil from a £1 offcut and charity shop headband, borrowed some make up and got a second hand ring. The groom is extremely well worn."

People were shocked at the results as they praised the couple for not spending thousands on their day.

They said: "Yes congrats! - you look so happy. The cheaper the wedding, the longer the love.We did same, bride in vintage satin nightgown, groom in hippy cheesecloth, registrar turned despairingly to the 2 witnesses (relatively smart)& said 'You must be the bride & groom.' 40 yrs later…x"

A second said: "Just goes to show you don't need to spend a fortune on a wedding to be happily married. Congratulations. We eloped, not to save money but to enjoy our wedding. I wore a leopard print sun dress!"

"Congratulations. What matters most is not this one day. It's the many days ahead of you and how you live them together", commented a third.

While a fourth said: "This is a day you'll remember for all the right reasons and not the bill the wedding cost for all of your lives together. Well done you many many happy years together you look so very happy."
