While many brides want to walk down the aisle in a traditional white gown, others want something a little bit different.
Some opt to throw a little colour into the mix, picking a completely different shade or a patterned fabric.
But one woman has been mocked for her dip dye style dress, and people are saying it looks like a used tampon.
The dress is white lace at the top in a traditional style, but the skirt of the dress is dip dyed, showing a range of orange and red shades.
She shared a photo of the dress on social media to see what people thought, but the comments weren't exactly complimentary.

Before long lots of strangers had replied sharing their disgust at the unusual design, reports the Sun .
One wrote: "Am I the only one that thinks tampon?"
Another added: "Some dip dye dresses look good. This is NOT one of those."

It's not the first cruel criticism we've seen of a wedding dress this week, and people called for one woman to "burn" her unflattering gown .
She shared two photos of her dress to ask people if they thought she should get an inlay on the middle part of her dress covering her stomach.
But people were quick to share their dislike for the dress, labelling it "unflattering" and a "trainwreck" and even telling her she should burn it, reports Mail Online .
One member commented: "This would only ever be flattering on someone six foot tall with the body of Elle Macpherson."
Another woman wrote: "You have to be extremely thin and tall for those dresses to work and even then it's a gamble."
While another wrote: "It's not a bad dress. It just doesn't look good on her, plain and simple."
