Bride does her nails at 2:30pm on her wedding day. Now ‘Type B’ brides are speaking out: ‘I doordashed my veil from Spirit Halloween an hour before’

There are two kinds of brides: the ones with a color-coded, minute-by-minute timeline… and the ones casually applying press-on nails mid-afternoon on their actual wedding day.

A viral TikTok has Type A viewers clutching their planners. One bride is seen calmly picking out her nails at 2:30 p.m., just hours before walking down the aisle. Naturally, the internet spiraled.

In the chaos, a faction emerged: the self-proclaimed “Type B” brides. Past brides are proudly sharing stories that make this last-minute manicure look downright organized. But maybe they’re not even “type B,” but another label that the internet has thrown around before: bridechilla.

What Did This Bride Do Last-Minute?

It seems TikTok creator @mikahreneeeee knew the kind of stress her clip would cause. The video is only seven seconds long, but perfectly encapsulates the bride’s personality. It was definitely enough to garner 2.4 million views and over 1,500 comments.

The text overlay reads: “Think you’re type B? this is my best friend doing her nails at 2:30 on her wedding day.”

The clip shows the bride picking a set of press-on nails from a table and fitting them to her fingernails. In her caption, Mikah says, “Type A brides worst nightmare but she ate tf DOWNNNNN.”

In a separate TikTok, Mikah provides even more of her friend’s antics. In a series of photos, the first reveals how the bride didn’t hire a hairstylist until a week before her wedding. Even worse, they had never met her before.

The second on the list is about the bride arriving 45 minutes late to the venue while still forgetting the flower girl’s dress and even her own socks. Next, she apparently left all the decisions up to the wedding coordinator. Others include forgetting her getting-ready pajamas, sending her dad to Ulta to buy a lipstick she wanted, and never buying her husband the champagne flute. She also had to leave at 4am for her honeymoon, but hadn’t even packed yet, and she had Amazon packages directly shipped to the venue. The list goes on.

What’s a ‘Bridechilla’?

Apparently, “type B” brides are not exactly a new thing. What’s more, their connotation is not as positive as the name might suggest. In 2014, Huffpost reported that bridechillas are as ubiquitous as bridezillas, and equally as frustrating.

According to the article, these types of brides can still upset their friends and family with their lack of strict planning. Instead of scheduling things, they leave it for the last minute. This creates stress for event planners or maid-of-honors. Case in point with Mikah’s friend.

One viewer replied to the list of things the bride did and says, “I came from the other post … I am type B as well BUT I would never have other people run around because I forgot/ I am horrible at planning. That gets old quick to people around you (them having to hustle because I did 0 planning.)…”

Mikah replies to the comment, saying, “I’ll let you in on a little secret…. She’s literally the most amazing person on the entire planet & we love her for exactly who she is. It’s an absolute HONOR to run around for her. She’s worth every bit of chaos.”

Viewers Share Their Own Antics

The comments section seems to be a competition of who wins the title of “type B” bride. One viewer shares, “I ordered my dress last minute and it was delivered the morning of my wedding.” While a second viewer says, “I doordashed my veil from Spirit Halloween an hour before my wedding.”

“I got a friend ordained online the night before because I forgot the preacher,” claims one viewer. One even says, “I wrote my vows 15 min before leaving for the venue.”

Not a personal experience, but one viewer shares, “I went to a destination wedding where the bride was swimming in the ocean with us until 2p and she was so sad to get out i was obsessed.”

Others… are not so keen on the idea. “Me and my 30 page wedding plan packet could never,” says one viewer. Finally, one says, “This whole comment section is stressing me outtt.”
