Dr. Theresa Tam, chief public health officer of Canada, says Christmas caroling is unsafe. Tam says that even those who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 should stay away from indoor singing this year. She says if people do attend any indoor events, especially those where people might be singing or talking loudly, they should open windows and wear masks.
