A lawsuit from natural gas and construction industry groups argues the ban breaks federal laws limiting how state and local governments can limit federally regulated energy sources. Oak Park officials say the policy is necessary to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as part of its plan to make the city carbon neutral by 2050.
