Brice Samba the Nottingham Forest hero as Reds take a point against Luton Town

Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Luton Town on Tuesday night as their unbeaten run in the Championship extended to five games.

The Reds played the final half an hour of the game with 10 men after stand-in full-back Jack Colback was shown a second red.

Here’s a roundup of all of the reactions to the game.

Player ratings

Brice Samba : Came to his team’s rescue with a brilliant penalty save with his legs, and another super stop right at the death. That was on top of a show-off one-handed catch from a corner. Forest needed him. Rating: 9/10

Djed Spence : Made some superb runs in the first half, carrying the ball well and stretching Luton with his pace. Defensive duties were called upon when the Reds went down to 10 men. Rating: 7/10

Joe Worrall : Ensured Forest kept their cool at the back after going down to 10 men. Won almost everything in the air to help register a clean-sheet. Rating: 7/10

What the fans said

Davina : Samba was incredible, from the penalty save to the last minute save to keep the clean sheet. Important point in the context of the game. Takes us closer to where we want to be. Onto WBA now, up the reds

Amy-Louise Troke : Not pretty but theres some fight in those lads, absolutely left everything out there and Samba with some worldies, I'll take it! #NFFC

Gary : A solid point considering everything.

Need to just hang on until January as we are seriously short in some key areas. We need another number 10, 2 strikers and a winger.

Hannah Forest : In the circumstances with ten men and two key players missing it is a decent point.

What Cooper said

“First half, we dominated possession and I thought we were tactically superior,” he said.

“We were ready to step it up a notch at the start of the second half. Lyle (Taylor) had a chance, Phil was getting into some good areas, and we were ready to really go to work in the last half hour.

“Obviously that opportunity was taken away from us. And then we had to show the other side of our game. A group of lads have shown that it matters, that this football club matters. They’ve given everything to make sure they kept the ball out of the net - from unbelievable individual moments from our goalkeeper, to good tactical composure in defending the box, to showing heart and soul.”
