Brice Samba back with the banter on Nottingham Forest training return

Nottingham Forest are back in training as they gear up for a June 20 restart to the Championship season.

And it hasn’t taken goalkeeper Brice Samba long to get the banter going again.

The shot-stopper has become a fans’ favourite since making the move to the City Ground last summer, proving to be a big character as well as a key player.

He’s pulled off some important saves already for the Reds, before the campaign was suspended in March, and been central to their promotion push.

But some of his teammates - as well as manager Sabri Lamouchi - have managed to get the better of him on the training pitch.

The club posted a video on social media of Forest players undertaking some shooting practice, with Samba in goal.

The likes of Sammy Ameobi, Lewis Grabban and Sammy Ameobi all fired past the 26-year-old.

And then there was the head coach, squeezing one home right at the end.

Jokingly quizzed on what had happened by one fan on Twitter, Samba teased: “Have to let them score sometimes or they get depressed.”

He added a crying with laughter emoji for good measure.

Opposition strikers shouldn’t expect him to be quite so generous when matches are back underway later this month, though.
