Brian Tarantina died from overdosing on cocktail of drugs - including fentanyl

Actor Brian Tarantina died from an overdose of multiple drugs including fentanyl, according to reports.

The Gilmore Girls' star's after police discovered his body at his Manhattan apartment.

TMZ has learned from the NYC Chief Medical Examiner that Tarantina's death was accidental and he died from acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and Diazepam.

In a statement from November, The New York City Police Department said: "On Saturday, 2 November, 2019 at approximately 00:40 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male.

"Upon arrival, officers observed a 60-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, fully-clothed, on his couch."

TMZ claim that there was a white powdery substance found near the body.

Brian was best known for playing Bootsy in Gilmore Girls from 2001 until 2002, and reprised his role in the sequel A Year in the Life in 2016.

He was best known for TV shows in the eighties and nineties but appeared in large screen productions towards the end of his career.

More recently he's had a recurring role as Jackie in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

He's had roles in several films including BlacKkKlansman, The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Brave One.

He also appeared in Uncle Buck, Knight and Day and Donne Brasco.

Tarantina's debut came in Brian Francis Ford Coppola's Cotton Club in 1984.
