Largely because losing grew old, so has the Magic's roster.
The Magic have aged before our very eyes, thanks to four new players. By the second week of next season, forward Jeff Green will have turned 30, shooting guard Jodie Meeks 29, point guard D.J. Augustin 29 and power forward Serge Ibaka 27.
The Magic had to scrap their youthful rebuilding plan after being unable to land a cornerstone player in the draft. Of the aforementioned group, Ibaka and Meeks were acquired through trades and the others through free agency.
The Magic will likely round up more veterans. They could have at least $20 million available to go hunting next summer _ enough to kick-start a contract for a star free agent.
Unless the Magic pull off other trades, I think there are five free agents who could be on the Magic's radar:
