Brian McFadden sparks outrage as he insists Donald Trump is what 'Britain needs'

Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has left fans speechless by insisting Donald Trump is what "Britain needs" to fix its current political crisis.

In light of Theresa May's resignation on Friday, the Irish singer, who lives in the UK, has put forward his suggestion to get Brexit over the line.

Declaring that the country is "literally f***ed", Brian - who has two kids with ex-wife Kerry Katona - said that Tory leadership hopeful Boris Johnson, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage have got nothing on the US reality star-turned-president.

"The fact that borris, farage and Jeremy are the front runners to be prime minister is scary! Britain is f***ed!!! Literally f**ed!" Brian, 39, observed on Twitter .

He added: "Incredible how many brits jump on the anti trump bandwagon. He's exactly what Britain needs!

"A Britain first at all costs attitude is essential."

At first some of McFadden's followers thought he was joking, with one replying, "U ok hun?"

"Omg, hahahahaha. Dude, stop," pleaded a confused commenter.

Others weren't so jovial.

Brian McFadden takes a huge swipe at Westlife bandmates

"Just what the world needs! The alt-right ramblings of Keith Duffy's backing singer," sneered another in reference to his Boyzlife bandmate.

"Sit down Bri," added another.

It comes as Trump prepared to head to the UK on an official state visit on June 3, four days before Teresa May steps down from her post as PM.
